A serendipitous meeting of Rugger Martin and visiting American artist, Roger Brinson, at the Head of the River Pub during Eights Week led to the discovery of Penelope Fielding's letters to her sister, Delphinia Warne. The letters promised to provide enticing clues to the location of a Faery House in the heart of the Great Dixter grounds. The letters had been spotted by Ms. Kagan-Moore, curator, while unpacking a vintage steamer trunk donated to The Great American Dollhouse Museum earlier that year.
The letters were sent on to the Martin brothers. Following authentication by Legos, design on the Lessor Dixter Manor began.
Poppy's Cottage at Lessor Dixter was completed in February of 2009 and will join the permanent collection in the Fantasy Forest of The Great American Dollhouse Museum in Danville, Kentucky.
